November 19, 2016

In case you have missed it: we have a new CD out this week! I must say we’re overwhelmed by the unanimous raving reviews we’ve been getting. Here’s the score after week one:

4stars Lust For Life: “Steven writes good songs and sings well, the production sounds fantastic and the band really swings. Only the best of the best musicians can swing like this, that is why we give these new kids on the block a big 4 stars.”

4stars CtrlAltCountry: “One of thé albums of this moment. Incredibly good!”, “this is right up the alley for anyone who likes Nick Waterhouse, James Hunter, JD McPherson, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Leon Bridges en of course fits labels such as Daptone Records, Stax, Atlantic, Chess and others. Listen to it once and you are sold!”

4stars “Authentic old school R&B in combination with soulful vocals and passionate guitar playing. Roll out the vintage zebra carpet for Little Steve & the Big Beat.”

Rootstime: “Another Man is a song of which you can already predict it will become one of the classic blues songs of the 21st century. This is an excellent record. This new band doesn’t just come knocking at the door, they kick it wide open.”

Rootsville: “The hottest Dutch rhyhtm and blues sensation ever, a sublime horn section, stunnin’ rhythm section and this Little Steve is an excellent guitar slinger with a soulful voice too.”

Bluesmagazine: “It immediately reminded me of Motown. A great production from start to finish. This CD is a gem. The way up for this band seems infinite.”
