Blues Peer 2015 Reviews

August 16, 2015

We had a blast at BRBF / Blues Peer 2015 last week! We appreciate the great responses we have received after this gig, and hope to be back in Belgium soon again.

Some great reviews have come in so we thought we’d share some with you:

TheBluesAlone:  “I spot many  people in the audience with a sense of amazement and joy on their faces, they’re surprised by the quality that this Dutch guy Steven is displaying. ‘Little’ Steven van der Nat has proven at Blues Peer that he and his band have matured. (…) We even feel a sense of pride when afterwards people talk to us about the quality of Little Steve & the Big Beat. These gentlemen displayed what they’re capable of doing at the 31st edition of Blues Peer.”

Bluesmagazine“These gentlemen received a  great response from the audience. They play nice swing varied by pure blues.8 The highlight was Double Trouble which showed impressive  lead guitar from Steven. The horn section is  essential for the great sound of this band, Martijn and Evert give it their all. Absolute bliss…”

BackToTheRoots: “We preferred Little Steve & the Big Beat. With their T-Birds inspired set this Dutch group  managed to keep us in front of the stage for  the duration of their  set.”

Bluesbreeker“A tight guitar player with a fresh sound, who changes lead parts between his guitar playing and the horn section.”
